BJP General Secretary Arun Singh welcomed Smt Mohanta to the BJP, praising her work towards women empowerment and her inspiration from Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi, the BJP formed a double-engine government in Odisha with a full majority under CM Mohan Manjhi. Shri Singh criticized the BJD for neglecting rural development and the needs of backward classes during their 24-year rule. The people of Odisha, frustrated with the BJD, decided to give BJP a chance. The nation trusts in Hon’ble PM Shri Modi's policies, ensuring welfare through housing, water, health coverage, and free ration for the poor.

BJP Odisha In-charge Vijay Pal welcomed former BJD MP Mamata Mohanta to the BJP, emphasizing that her strong ties to her tribal region will bolster the party's presence there. Smt Mohanta’s influence will support the party's policies and significantly contribute to the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Viksit Odisha,' helping to fulfill the promises outlined in the manifesto.

Smt Mohanta expressed her gratitude for joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. Upon joining, she thanked BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Odisha CM Mohan Majhi, and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Smt Mohanta also pledged her support to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to build 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047. With Mohanta's addition, the BJP gains a strong presence in Odisha, particularly among tribals. Her joining is seen as a significant boost to the party's efforts to expand its footprint in the state.
