Supermodel Gigi Hadid Joins New York City Protest Against Trump's "Muslim Ban".
Gigi Hadid, born as Jelena Noura Hadid in Los Angeles, is an American fashion model of Palestinian and Dutch descent. Her parents, Mohamed Hadid, and Yolanda Hadid, are both successful in their respective fields - Mohamed as a real estate developer and Yolanda as a former model. Gigi's modeling career began at the tender age of two when she worked with Baby Guess. However, she took a break to focus on her education before returning to modeling in 2011. Since then, she has become one of the most sought-after models in the industry, appearing on the covers of Vogue magazine 35 times. In 2013, she was signed to IMG Models, and in 2014, she made her debut in the Top 50 Models ranking.
Her success continued in 2016 when she was named International Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council. In addition to her modeling work, Gigi is also an activist and has protested against Donald Trump's "Muslim ban" in New York City. She has also appeared in campaigns for brands such as Fendi, Moschino, Max Mara Accessories, Stuart Weitzman, and DSQUARED. In 2017, she photographed a special summer edition of V Magazine titled Gigi's Journal, which featured Polaroids of fashion industry colleagues, celebrities, and close friends. Her unique and striking features, combined with her talent and dedication, have made her one of the most influential models of her generation.
